We sold our Cold Creek Home in early January 2021 with a close date of February 19, 2021. Sounds simple enough but now you are going to get what Paul Harvey called the rest of the story. Right after Christmas 2020, we contracted with Angie Tomashowski of Mount Charleston Realty to list and hopefully sell our home. I was impressed with Angie’s range of experience as she queried on the construction, special features, and proposed benefits for any potential buyer. We ask Angie to hold the publishing of our listing until after the first of the year which she was happy to do. We just weren’t quite ready to have a bunch of potential buyers traipsing through our house. A couple of days later Angie called to advise us that she had a client the wanted to see the outside of the house. That was fine with us and I saw Angie and the interested buyer out back looking at the least appealing portion of the house. It was windy and cold, and they were there for 15 to 20 minutes. I couldn’t hear the conversation, but it was easy to tell he was already making plans. Well, Angie called us later in the day to schedule a walk-through with the same gentleman for the following Saturday. We were already in a cleanup mode so Angie could take pictures of the interior of the house in preparation for publishing our listing on MLS so we were ready for the walk-through. We spent the next few days with offers and counteroffers and finally agreed on a price and conditions. Through It, all Angie was right there to expedite the offers and counteroffers. Her advice was sound and helpful to us in making our decision to accept what turned out to be the final offer. The fun really began once a deal was struck. Being in an HOA there was more than enough legal paperwork that needed to be completed and Angie walked us through the details of everything with sound advice based on her knowledge and experience. She was there every step of the way. If we had questions we could call, text, or email her and she always got back to us in a timely manner. After reaching an agreement it seems like we were in daily contact with Angie who was always pleasant and helpful when we had tons of questions. She was comforting and provided guidance when we were frustrated with all we had to do to be moved out in a timely manner. Her professionalism gave us comfort in the trying times. We cannot thank Angie enough, along with her office staff for making our journey through the sale of the home and getting moved out as easy as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Angie to any of our friends and associates. Were we still in Nevada we would not hesitate to use Angie again. We thought we would be six months to a year getting the house sold and us moved but it was all accomplished in under two months. And that is the rest of the story.
