Steven is an expert with mountain homes and was able to navigate me through the process of buying my mountain home before, during, and after the sale.

I lucked out when I chose Mt. Charleston Realty to sell my condo in Centennial Hills. Taylor and Katie made the process so easy and smooth that it was a pleasure to deal with them. They sold my condo in 7 days without a glitch. The whole process took about 6 weeks. I thought being on the east coast would complicate the process , but thru email it was smooth as ice. They really know everything about real estate, and answered my questions before I asked them. Every time the process moved forward, I was updated immediately. They made me feel like I was their only client. If you don't use Taylor and Katie for all your real estate needs you need to have your head examined.

My wife and I went to Katie with Mt Charleston Realty to sell our home on the mountain. The whole experience was terrific! We left on vacation to search out our new home in another state, leaving everything in their capable hands. While we were gone, Katie and Steven took care of everything. Communication was prompt even though we were at times two or three hours ahead. When the buyer requested a cleaning & inspection of our septic tank, Steven located & dug up the cover, which was no easy task. When you are looking for a realtor to assist you in either buying or selling a property on Mt. Charleston, the hands-down best move you can make is to work with Team Tomashowski and their family-owned Mt. Charleston Realty. Mountain residents themselves for almost 30 years, Angie and Garry Tomashowski (and now their extended family members) really know the Mountain and are involved in multiple aspects of mountain community life well beyond their real estate business. Their wide experience allows them to provide unique insight into, and helpful information about, this unique and special area that is not readily available from realtors who work primarily in the Las Vegas valley area.

I first moved to Rainbow Canyon in September of 1970 and over the the next 8 years I had a total of 3 homes in Mt. Charleston, living as a full-time mountain resident for a couple years in each, with moves back to Las Vegas in between. In late 1978, while still on the mountain, I started a new career in Las Vegas that required me to move back to town permanently, and I later had my two children there, but I always missed Mt. Charleston. By 2006, when my children were older and living in their own homes, and I still had my permanent home in Las Vegas, I decided I wanted to have a cabin in Mt. Charleston again for the family to use as a vacation and second home, so I found one I had always liked. We all used and really enjoyed it for the next 9 years, but in 2015 we found a business in Colorado we wanted to buy and operate as a family, necessitating a permanent move to Colorado. Each of my children sold their own house and I sold my Las Vegas home but kept the Charleston cabin, thinking I would use it when visiting Las Vegas periodically. However, when grandchildren began arriving in 2019 and then Covid emerged in 2020, I realized I wasn’t very likely to return to spend much time in Las Vegas or use the cabin again, so I decided to put it on the market. Fortunately I knew just who I wanted to sell it for me.

Making this kind of transaction remotely wouldn’t have been possible without the trusted and very valuable assistance of the Mt. Charleston Realty team. Angie and Katie were particularly helpful in guiding me through this long-distance transaction, always patient, pleasant and willing to go above and beyond to connect me with people who could handle needed chores, repairs, and services when I wasn’t there to help. They also provided really useful advice along the way about pricing, current market conditions, and which upgrades or changes were really essential as opposed to those that didn’t have to be done in order to sell. The cabin, while unoccupied after I moved to Colorado, was still fully furnished and equipped, and this presented some interesting challenges which the combined Team Tomashowski skillfully handled as well.
